India is home to the world's 5th richest person, the world's 4th largest economy, and the world's largest democracy. It is also home to the largest population of the world's poor, a per capita income comparable with the poorest countries in the world, and widespread illiteracy & corruption - all things unbecoming of a modern democracy and aspiring global superpower. This blog is dedicated to empowering Indians with low self-esteem and confidence, to believe in themselves and the country they live in, so that they can contribute to the greater good of everyone around the world. The blog is also targeted at those who don't know much about India, what makes its people tick, why it is "suddenly" the in-thing with the media, and what impact all the changes taking place in the land of a billion people will have on themselves and the ecology at large. The challenges that lay before us are no doubt immense, but hopefully, with a better understanding of what's happening in a country that makes up more than 1/6th of humanity, it will make the job that much more easier, and clear up the misty road ahead.
